Where does the time go I ask you, where!?!?!

It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago I added a news entry saying we were over half way through the year and now, tomorrow its September, what’s all that about?

So what been happening eh, well ive been a busy busy bee of late. Unfortunately not all of it has been web related. Ive beeen buying furniture, building it and now I have a proper desk to work at, at long last. I also have dvd stackers which are full already so I need to buy another one. I did a spring clean of the flat which inadvertently ment I emptied my bedroom of everything and re-arraged it all (for the better). Ive been on numerious visits to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh to see many fantastic things, along with attending my first ever (after 2 years of waiting to go to one) Roller Derby. Which I have to say I loved every minute off and shall be attending another this weekend, cant wait for that.

As you can see the last month and a bit has been a bit hectic in there but we are starting to wind down for the cold winter part of the year now on the run up to Christmas. Although at the moment it’s still sunny (what a gloriously sunny bank holiday weekend we just had) and the weather apart from the odd day of rain has been really pleasant. Oh and how could I forget my resurgence in visiting the gym along with playing badminton as well as I try to shed some of the extra pound that refuse to leave me.

So work for OJF or SIW, whats happening with that?
Answer not much at all, ive not had a chance to do much, but with my new desk in place and with my soon to be extra long power lead work shall begin in earnest very soon. Ive decided to devote a night a week or a minimum of 4 hours a week) to web work. Be it learning .net or AJAX or working on SIW or OJF projects. This way I can set aside an amount of time each week and plan to do work and further my skills.

With this in mind ive started a new project and am documenting it in the workshop. The idea behind this new project is to get me back up and running with flash as ive not built any games or anything involved for quite some time. So think of this as a refresher course, a simple (in theory) game to help me blow away the cobwebs in flash and get ready for the next walker game I had started to work on also.

Apart from all of this, work has been continuing on SIW and ive started to work a little on the admin section for the site. There are still aspects of the normal pages I need to work on, but I want to wait till the design is finalised because some of the functionality may have to change to adapt and work with the design in a better way.
